ANNUAL REPORT 2025: When Cooperation Sustains What Others Leave Behind

The year 2025 tested our ability to adapt, collaborate, and remain resilient. Amid a significant reduction in international cooperation funding, SiKanda faced one of the most challenging periods in its more than 16-year history. Yet it was also a year that reaffirmed the principle that has guided our work from the beginning: when people, communities, and organizations work together, social transformation can endure and grow.
Thanks to the collaboration of communities, partner organizations, and individual donors, we were able to continue implementing our programs, supporting more than 1,800 women, children, youth, waste pickers, and coffee producers in exercising their rights, strengthening their capacities, and creating opportunities to improve their quality of life.
Throughout 2025, we implemented 11 projects across 19 municipalities in the states of Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Puebla, promoting inclusive recycling, gender equality, the well-being of children and youth, environmental sustainability, and community strengthening.
Behind every achievement are stories of leadership, collective action, solidarity, and hope—proof that lasting change is built together.
